UltraSeal XT plus helps you achieve both – thanks to convenient syringe delivery and optimum material composition with a high filler content. Ideal viscosity: Ultra Seal XT plus is flowable when applied with the Inspiral Brush tip, but firms after it has been placed. In contrast to ordinary cannulae, the brush tip can be used to work the sealant into the fissures avoiding the formation of air bubbles. The 58% fill provides enhanced stability and abrasion resistance. As a preparatory step, use PrimaDry (see box below), as it removes any residual moisture from the fissures and allows perfect penetration of UltraSeal XT plus.3

The use of PrimaDry in fissures, in addition to air drying just prior to resin placement significantly enhances resin penetration, as it removes any residual moisture from the fissures and promotes wetting with the sealant. The use of PrimaDry prior to composite repairs is also of great benefit, as it takes the moisture out of existing composite restorations, resulting in a significantly better bond with the newly added composite layer. Do not use PrimaDry on dentin. As PrimaDry is highly hygroscopic, it would draw the moisture from the dentinal tubules which could cause the patient pain and discomfort.
