“STEP-BY-STEP” QUICK GUIDE FOR PORCELAIN REPAIR

BOND/ETCH Ultradent Porcelain Repair Kit ETCH, SILANE, BOND RESIN & FLOWABLE COMPOSITE • Includes all necessary pre-composite placement materials • Quick, easy repairs without mixing Porcelain repair procedures are becoming more common. It is financially advantageous and less invasive to repair a chipped porcelain restoration rather than replace it. ® The Porcelain Repair Kit contains all the products and tips needed for use with composite to porcelain, porcelain to metal, and porcelain to porcelain repairs. EtchArrest and OpalDam isolate the surfaces to be repaired, while Porcelain Etch, Silane, and PQ1 prepare them for adhesive bonding. PermaFlo Dentin Opaquer masking resin is used to cover any exposed metal. Then a composite (e.g. Amelogen Plus) is used for the repair work. It is just viscous enough not to run off a vertical surface. It rinses off easily with water. Place the protective layer of EtchArrest prior to applying etchants. ® ACID BARRIER/NEUTRALIZER Black Micro Tip UP 625 EtchArrest Kit 4 x 1.2 ml (1.39 g) EtchArrest 20 Black Micro Tips For application, order: Use EtchArrest to protect adjacent porcelain and soft tissue from hydrofluoric acid. Etch dentin simultaneously with Ultra-Etch while etching porcelain with Porcelain Etch to keep hydrofluoric acid off dentin (hydrofluoric acid will prevent quality adhesion to dentin and enamel1). Rinse clean, apply Silane, apply PQ1 Bonding adhesive, apply PermaFlo Dentin Opaque masking resin (see PermaFlo), and restore using an esthetic composite material. 1 Barghi N, Covington K, Fischer DE, Herbold ET.
