R E S T O R AT I V E Amelogen Plus ® ESTHETIC MICROHYBRID COMPOSITE • Excellent, non-slumping consistency • Superior polishability Amelogen Plus, a simple solution for your esthetic needs. Intuitive shade system with perfectly matched range of enamel, dentin, translucent, and opaque shades for both simple and esthetically challenging restorations, as well as life-like fluorescence without any added effort producing quality esthetics. It is 76% filled by weight with a 0.7 µm average particle size. Easily handled thanks to well-matched viscosity of dentin and enamel. Super adaptive – does not stick to instrument. Surpassed the expectations of most dentists in a blinded trial. Viscosity slightly modifiable by Composite Wetting Resin (see p. 64). Excellent polishability with just a few steps saves finishing time and ensures quality appearance. LAYERING MADE SIMPLE Amelogen Plus’ simple and intuitive shade system allows dentists to achieve beautiful and natural-looking restorations without the complication of most esthetic composite systems. The dentin shade is selected by identifying the basic hue and intensity of the tooth following the well known Vita shade guide. The cervical region, where enamel is normally thinner, is a good area to use as a reference. When selecting the enamel body shade (White, Neutral or Gray), take into consideration the lightness of the natural enamel on the patient’s teeth. As a general rule, Enamel White comes closest to young teeth, Enamel Neutral to most adults’ teeth, and Enamel Gray for older patients or smokers. Keep the composite enamel layer slightly thinner than the natural enamel layer. Translucent shades are used for the incisal area and the Opaque White shade can be used for the characterization of the enamel when desired.
